Homelessness Prevention Grants

Funding is available each year for projects that prevent or relieve homelessness and rough sleeping in Cambridge.

The application window for 2025/26 funding is now open and closes at midday on Wednesday 18 September 2024.

To find out how to apply, download the Homelessness Prevention Grant application guide [PDF, 0.2MB].

Groups wishing to apply should ensure that:

  • they meet the eligibility criteria
  • the proposed activity clearly fits the funding priorities and will deliver the outcomes required

If after reading the guidelines you think you are eligible to apply, download the application form [RTF, 0.8MB] or contact us to request an application form.

If you are applying for more than one project please use the additional activity application form [RTF, 0.6MB] for the additional projects.

Funding decisions will be made at a Housing Scrutiny Committee meeting on 21 January 2025.

The Homelessness Prevention Grant is allocated from central government funding and, following the change of government, there has been no confirmation of the government funding allocation from 2025 onwards.

It is our understanding that an announcement will be made following the autumn spending review. Please note that any successful applications for Homelessness Prevention Grant funding are subject to confirmation of central government funding.
